all the snacks

I am the QUEEN of snacking. I'm pretty much the snackiest snacker that ever snacked. Being constantly On-The-Go, snacks tend to tie me over from breakfast time until I come home for the day at about 9:30pm. On a good day I will meal prep and have a wonderful microwaved meal at the Dance Studio. But most days, I am quite content with pulling out my Pinterest-Worthy snack collection.

Have you ever noticed that un-healthy snacks are EVERYWHERE, and sooo convenient? The vending machine at work, the drive-thru menu, the muffins, the bagels, the cookies, oh my! If planned properly, snacks can be super nutritious and totally easy to pack! I have compiled a list of my fave go to snacks that require little to NO prep and most are loaded with nutrients! I keep this list in my phone too so I can pick up items that I am low on, the next time I hit the grocery store. I also have this printed on the inside of my snack cupboard (almost like a mini menu) so I can pick what I want to eat first, instead of automatically reaching for my children's cookie collection. If you keep these items in stock you can easily throw 2 or 3 in your bag and off you go!

What's your favourite (convenient) healthy thing to snack on?

Bad breakup? Crummy day at work? Maybe you're just feeling a little cranky today? Music has a way of controlling my attitude, and I LOVE blasting good, empowering music when I'm having one of those days. It is said that when listening to music our brain releases dopamine, which is the chemical responsible for making us happy. Check out my list of these wicked tracks by powerful Badass women, and you've got yourself a perfect mood booster for the gym, car ride, or girl's night with your besties ;)

1) Sorry Not Sorry- Demi Lovato

How can this NOT be on the list. It makes you want to break up with your boyfriend JUST so you can play him this song

2) Get it Right- Diplo

This one speaks to me.  You do you, girl

3) Honor- DJ Cassidy ft. Grace, Lil Yachty

A sassy lil reminder that every girl wants to hear.

4) Power- Little Mix

I mean anything from Little Mix just shouts Girl Power, but this one is up there!

5) Bodak Yellow- Cardi B

Definition of Badass.

6) That's My Girl- Fifth Harmony

This song is at the top of my Gym tracks! Fifth Harmony always delivers the best Girl Power Jams

7) Still Got Time- Zayn

A feel good song to let you know that finding love doesn't have to be priority :)

8) Anaconda- Nicki Minaj

Classic badass!

9) Shout out to My Ex- Little Mix

Immediately memorize these lyrics so you can sing this in the car. Been there, done that.
